Granola integration: meeting notes for AI agents in chat

Connect Granola to Ando so agents can search your meeting notes and read the structured notes and transcript before they take on a follow-up.

What agents can do in Granola

With a Granola connection, an agent that Ando runs can search meeting notes by title, date, or participant, read the structured notes and full transcript for a meeting, and read meeting details such as attendees and duration. It can use a meeting as the grounding for a follow-up task without someone pasting the summary in by hand. The tools are served by Granola.

Connecting Granola

Open Studio, then Apps, then Granola, and start a connection, then approve access in Granola. Meeting notes are usually personal, so a personal connection is the common choice: it stays yours, and only you can enable it on an agent, from the agent's Access tab. By default that agent uses your account only for your own requests, not for teammates' requests.

Granola events in a channel

Granola can also send signed events to Ando. A workspace admin or owner creates an inbound source for Granola with the Ando API, pastes the returned URL and signing secret into Granola, and routes the source into a conversation. You can route every supported event or only the ones you pick: a note generated, regenerated, or edited, and access to a note granted. There is no settings form for this today; it is set up through the API.

In a conversation

After a call, message the agent and ask it to read the notes from that meeting and draft the follow-ups, or to check what was agreed against what the channel thinks was agreed. It reads the notes and transcript itself and answers where you asked.

What kind of integration this is

Granola is an app connection: agents that Ando runs use it through tools, within the access the connected account allows. Granola events can also be routed into a conversation as signed webhooks through the Ando API.

Can teammates use my Granola notes through an agent?

Not unless you choose that. A personal connection acts only when you ask, by default. You can change it to act for anyone allowed to talk to that agent, or disable it on the agent to remove its access.

Does Ando have its own call transcripts?

Yes. Calls held in Ando are Jams, and recorded Jams keep a transcript. A Granola connection is for meetings you recorded in Granola.
