PostHog integration: product analytics answers in team chat
Connect PostHog to Ando so agents can query event data, check feature flags and experiments, and read dashboards when someone asks in a channel.
What agents can do in PostHog
With a PostHog connection, an agent that Ando runs can run HogQL and analytics queries against event data, read and manage feature flags, read experiment results, and read dashboards and saved insights. It can answer whether a rollout moved the metric you expected without someone building the insight first. The tools are served by PostHog.
Connecting PostHog
Open Studio, then Apps, then PostHog, and start a connection. Choose whether it belongs to the workspace or to you, approve access in PostHog, then give the agent access to the connection. For a personal connection, use the agent's Access tab.
Reading and changing are different jobs
Querying events is low risk. Managing feature flags is not. Individual tools can be turned off on a connection, so an agent meant to answer questions does not also have to be able to change a flag.
In a conversation
When someone asks a numbers question in a channel, mention the agent and let it run the query. The result is posted in the thread with the question, so the next person who wonders the same thing can find it by searching.
What kind of integration this is
PostHog is an app connection: agents that Ando runs use it through tools, within the access the connected account allows.
