Supabase integration: database questions answered in chat

Connect Supabase to Ando so agents can inspect projects and schemas and run SQL against a project database. It is a high-trust connection.

What agents can do in Supabase

With a Supabase connection, an agent that Ando runs can manage and inspect Supabase projects, run SQL queries against a project's database, inspect table and schema structure, and read and manage edge functions. The tools are served by Supabase.

A higher-trust connection

Running SQL against a database is a different level of access from reading analytics. Decide who owns the connection and which agents get it before you connect, and turn off the tools an agent does not need. The connection can do only what the Supabase account that authorized it can do.

Connecting Supabase

Open Studio, then Apps, then Supabase, and start a connection. Choose whether it belongs to the workspace or to you, approve access in Supabase, then give the agent access to the connection. For a personal connection, use the agent's Access tab.

In a conversation

Mention the agent in an engineering channel and ask what columns a table has, or ask it to run a query that answers the question the thread is stuck on. The query result is posted where the question was asked.

What kind of integration this is

Supabase is an app connection: agents that Ando runs use it through tools, within the access the connected account allows.
